winter gear options

First light on the Acropolis and Mt Geryon, TAS

I have been finding it hard to get much up on this site of late, with work, other projects and winter getting in the way. Hopefully this will start to change in coming months.

In the meantime, I thought the following links may be of use.

My links to skiing and boarding gear that I have reviewed is available here.

Any extra reviews would be appreciated. Just email them in or post direct.
Does anyone have a pair of the new Scarpa T2 Eco telemark boots made from PEBAX Rnew? I would love to get a users review of gear made from this much friendlier material.

Extra info that I have found since I last updated the skiing/ boarding section of this site is below.

Firstlight snowboards.

From their website:
“All boards by FirstLight snowboards are 100% Australian made. Check out our awesome range, from Splitboards to Powderboards, Swallowtails, NoBoards and more”.
I don’t have any info on environmental practises as yet, will hopefully do a review in the spring. They also have an on line store for a range of backcountry and in resort gear.

Details here.

The Cornice Store
This great on-line store, only launched a few months ago, which is aiming to be the “one stop backcountry shop” for Australian boarders and skiers who get out beyond the resorts.
Their website is here.

Snowboard Green

Snowboard Green (based in the USA),  is a website showcasing environmentally and socially responsible snowboard products and industry news. Always worth a look if you’re looking for anything boarding related.

Their site is here.
