With Christmas barely a week away and the endless pre-Christmas sales by the big outdoor brands, it can be hard to stay away from gear at good prices.
All of the big brand gear – such as that coming from Kathmandu – is made overseas and with very little information available about working conditions in their facilities.
If you are buying gear at this time of year, you may want to think about whether there is some locally produced things you can buy, thereby supporting local manufacturers and jobs.
